The Youth Program
Rise
One pillar of the Positive Impact Hub ecosystem. Values-driven leadership; cultural intelligence; responsibility for the societies young people will shape.
In development
Agency, character, confidence, contribution and purpose are formed early. Rise is being built to work with young people at the age when those things are actually taking shape.
Rise is one pillar of the Positive Impact Hub ecosystem, and the one with the longest horizon. Everything else in the ecosystem works with people who are already leading. Rise works with people who will be: in schools, universities and communities, in Qatar first.
The aim is not early career training. It is agency, character, confidence, contribution and purpose, developed at the age when those things are actually formed, together with the cultural intelligence, and the sense of responsibility, that those societies are going to need from them. The methods are the Hub's own, adapted for younger people: experiential first, with the lesson arriving after the experience.
Leadership, practiced before anyone calls it that.
Leadership readiness
Young people arrive in their first roles having been told about leadership and rarely having practiced it. Rise is built to give them the practice early.
Agency and confidence
The belief that what you do changes what happens, built through experiences where it visibly does.
Purpose and contribution
Not a career plan at sixteen, but a working sense of what matters and a habit of contributing to something beyond yourself.
Cultural intelligence, early
Young people in Qatar grow up in one of the most multicultural societies anywhere. Rise treats that as an advantage to be developed, not a difficulty to be managed.
Built to produce
Rise is in development. These are the outputs it is designed to produce, stated as intent rather than as things you can order today.
- 01
School and university programs
Leadership curriculum designed with educational partners, built from the Hub's own methods adapted for young people.
- 02
Leadership experiences
Camps and youth forums where leadership is practiced, not described.
- 03
Mentoring
Connections between young people and leaders who take the responsibility seriously.
- 04
Community projects
Contribution made real: something a group of young people actually does for the place they live.
Rise is in development. This is what exists now, described as it is.
- The concept: youth leadership built on the Hub's own methods, experiential first, adapted for schools, universities and communities.
- A resilience worksheet written for students: a four stage exercise on emotional resilience, one piece of the material Rise will be built from.
- A concept, still on one page, for young professionals entering multicultural workplaces in Qatar, at the older end of Rise's range.
- Conversations under way with schools in Qatar about a first program. No cohort is confirmed.
One ecosystem. Rise is one part of it.
With Ascend Institute
Ascend's methods, adapted for younger people, are what Rise teaches with. The order stays the same: practice first, then the lesson.
With Dive
Dive supplies the evidence base, and the measures meant to show whether agency, contribution and purpose actually moved.
With Ignite and Amplify
The Summit gives Rise a stage, and the relationships with institutions a youth program needs. Amplify carries its stories beyond the room.
